QuantumDiamonds is looking for a dedicated, proactive, and hands-on Intern / Working Student in Operations to support our growing Operations team, gaining insights into Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, and ERP processes.

As we continue to expand our systems, production, and customer installations worldwide, our Operations team ensures that the right components and materials are in the right place at the right time. You will work closely with our Operations, Engineering, and Production teams, learning the processes behind the development, manufacturing, and delivery of complex hardware products.

You won't be just watching here. You will take responsibility for real operational tasks from the start, supporting our day-to-day business and actively helping to build structured and scalable processes that grow with QuantumDiamonds.

Your Tasks

You will gain practical insights into various areas of our Operations team and gradually take on responsibility for your own topics once you have familiarized yourself with QD.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Support the operational day-to-day business in procurement – from creating purchase requisitions and orders to tracking deliveries.

• Keep an eye on orders, delivery times, and potential delays, and help to identify risks early on.

• Support communication and coordination with our suppliers as needed.

Logistics & Shipping

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, including shipping documentation, pick-ups, and, where applicable, customs and export documents.

• Ensure that materials and components are transported smoothly between suppliers, our labs, production, and other internal teams.

• Support goods receipt and ensure that materials reach the right people and the right location.

Inventory Management & ERP

• Help to keep material availability and stock levels transparent, so that our teams always have the necessary components.

• Maintain supplier, purchasing, inventory, and material data in our Odoo ERP system, ensuring its accuracy and up-to-dateness.

• Support us in keeping our ERP data structured, reliable, and usable for our future growth.

Processes & Operations Projects

• Identify opportunities to make our logistics, procurement, and supply chain processes simpler, more efficient, and scalable, and actively help with their implementation.

• Support with data analysis, documentation, and other operations projects – depending on your interests and the team's current priorities.

• Work closely with Engineering, Production, and other teams to solve everyday operational challenges.

What You Bring

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field, or have completed such a degree.

• You are available for either a six-month full-time internship or as a working student for at least six months.

• You work in a structured and reliable manner and enjoy creating order and clear processes.

About Us

QuantumDiamonds GmbH, headquartered in Munich, develops and manufactures semiconductor inspection systems based on quantum sensing. Founded in 2022 from the Technical University of Munich, the company uses nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamonds to map electrical currents with micrometer precision within advanced 2.5D and 3D chip architectures. Nine of the ten largest semiconductor manufacturers worldwide already collaborate with QuantumDiamonds, with systems in use in Europe, the USA, and Asia. The company is investing 152 million euros in building the world's first production facility for semiconductor inspection tools based on quantum sensing, funded as part of the European Chips Act.
