Overview Hello Future Operations Head, DirectAxis, a leading direct-to-consumer financial services provider within the FirstRand Group, offers unsecured personal loans, debt consolidation solutions, insurance products, and digital financial wellness tools such as Pulse. As we advance our transformation agenda, we are strengthening our operational capabilities to enhance customer experience, improve efficiency, and support scalable growth across the business. We are seeking a strategic Operations Head who will lead the development of our operations strategy, drive process improvements, and ensure seamless integration with other departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial services, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing operational strategies that align with business objectives; • Leading cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency gains; • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless integration of operations; • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners; • Identifying and mitigating operational risks; • Developing and managing budgets for operational initiatives; • Providing strategic guidance and support to the business. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, operations management); • At least 5 years of experience in an operations leadership role; • Strong understanding of financial services and regulations; • Excellent leadership and communication skills; • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Experience with process improvement initiatives and change management.
