Job description
We are supporting a well-established international energy trading organisation in Singapore that is expanding its physical operations team. This role sits within the trading support function and is responsible for the end-to-end operational execution of middle distillates cargoes, working closely with traders and external counterparties to ensure smooth, timely, and compliant delivery. What you will be doing: You will manage the day-to-day physical operations and logistics for middle distillate products, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring the movement of goods from origin to destination. This involves close collaboration with various stakeholders such as traders, suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions. Key responsibilities include: • Coordinating with traders to determine optimal transportation routes and modes for middle distillate products; • Developing and maintaining relationships with external counterparties, including suppliers, customers, and logistics providers; • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies; • Managing and optimizing the physical operations process to minimize costs, reduce risks, and improve efficiency; • Providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders on operational performance and progress. What we are looking for: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Executive who possesses strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration, and at least 3-5 years of experience in the energy trading industry or a related field. Key qualifications include: • Strong understanding of physical operations, logistics, and supply chain management; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
