RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Operations Controller to join our client’s dynamic team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee and manage the daily operations within a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company standards. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily operational activities to ensure smooth workflows.
- Track, document, and report on operational performance metrics.
- Liaise with various departments to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
- Maintain compliance with safety and operational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to optimize service delivery.
- Prepare detailed reports on operational issues and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Operations Management or a related field is an advantage.
- Candidate must handle both Air & Sea – Imports & Exports
- Registering Files in the Freight software system
- Co-ordinating delivery planning
- Familiarity with the software used in the Freight Industry (bonus if they have shipshape knowledge)
- Invoicing in the Freight software system
- Knowledge on Tariffs / Incoterms / Rates / Documentation
- Own Vehicle
- + 10 Years years of experience in role or similar role
