Job description
The Challenge
Our client produces large-scale steel structures for the energy transition and is building a Smart Factory environment where production, data, and security seamlessly converge. You will design the OT architecture that makes this production environment as solid as the structures that roll off the assembly line.
What will you do?
As an OT Architect, you are the connecting link between production, engineering, maintenance, IT, and cybersecurity. You will develop and monitor the OT architecture for multiple production locations, ensuring that industrial automation, OT platforms, and data integrations align with business objectives. You will report to the Head of IT and work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external integration partners.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing and maintaining the OT architecture for all production locations
Defining OT standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps
Developing target architectures for Smart Factory, MES, SCADA, and industrial automation
Determining integrations between IT and OT systems
Defining OT security architectures in accordance with IEC 62443 and supporting ISO 27001 implementation
Providing technical direction for suppliers and integration partners
How you make an impact
You bring structure and oversight to the OT landscape of multiple production locations. You ensure that industrial automation, OT platforms, and data integrations connect with each other and that production runs stably and controllably.
Through your architectural choices, the OT environment becomes future-proof. You translate technology roadmaps into concrete standards, monitor security in accordance with IEC 62443, and ensure that suppliers and integration partners work according to clear agreements.
Furthermore, you are a constant point of contact for production, engineering, maintenance, IT, and cybersecurity. You ensure that these disciplines align well. In doing so, you directly contribute to continuity, safety, and a professional, future-oriented production environment.
