Operation Manager – Waste Management & Portable Toilet

Location: Chin Bee Road, Singapore

Salary: SGD 5,000 – 6,000 per month

Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience

Job Responsibilities

* Oversee the daily operations of the Singapore office and depot to ensure smooth, safe and efficient operations.

* Manage and supervise drivers and operational staff, including work allocation, attendance, performance, training and discipline.

* Plan and coordinate daily truck and driver schedules to meet operational requirements, customer demands and KPI targets.

* Manage the company’s lorry/truck fleet, including vehicle utilisation, maintenance, inspections and breakdown management.

* Conduct regular and random truck inspections to ensure vehicles, equipment and safety requirements are properly maintained.

* Monitor depot facilities, equipment, operational materials and chemicals to ensure proper maintenance, storage and usage.

* Review and improve operational processes, systems and workflows to increase productivity and efficiency.

* Monitor monthly and yearly operational KPIs, equipment utilisation and revenue targets, and implement corrective actions where required.

* Identify root causes of vehicle breakdowns, service delays and other operational issues, and implement effective solutions.

* Ensure all services and workmanship meet the company’s required quality standards, including the proper maintenance and servicing of portable and premium toilets.

* Provide guidance, coaching and training to drivers and operational staff to ensure safe and efficient work practices.

* Handle and resolve on-site technical, operational and customer-related issues.

* Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety requirements and relevant regulatory requirements.

* Prepare regular operational reports for management covering fleet performance, manpower, KPIs, breakdowns and other operational matters.

* Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

* Minimum *8 years of relevant working experience in waste management, sanitation, portable toilet or portable hygiene-related industries*.

* Proven experience in *operations management*, preferably within waste management, sanitation, environmental services or a related industry.

* Strong experience in *managing drivers, operational staff and lorry/truck fleets*.

* Good knowledge of fleet management, vehicle maintenance, scheduling and operational planning.

* Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

* Able to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Willing to be *hands-on and attend to operational issues on-site when required*.
