Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Production Operator/Miller position within a Montreal-based factory, on behalf of a recognized client in the agro-food sector.


We are seeking dynamic, reliable, and motivated candidates, ready to invest in a production environment that is constantly evolving. The job offers a great progression: the person can start as a Production Operator, with a possibility of evolution into a Miller or department head role.


A degree or DEC in food processes or chemistry constitutes an asset.




Responsibilities :
  • Perform various maintenance tasks (cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming)

  • Lubricate equipment

  • Maintain bags and containers up to 25 kg

  • Be able to progress to a process operator role within 90 days of hire

  • Perform other tasks as needed by the company



ProfileRequirements :
  • Safe working attitude and respect for current standards

  • Ability to work in a team and maintain a respectful and positive attitude

  • Punctual execution of required tasks

  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and computer science

  • Proactivity and participation in food safety programs

  • Learning and respect for work rules and policies

  • Precise production of required documentation

  • Bulletin punctuality and attendance


A degree or DEC in food processes or chemistry constitutes an asset.



InformationalPhysical and environmental conditions :
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 25 kg bags

  • Comfortable working seated or standing for long periods

  • Able to climb stairs and use ladders

  • Ability to bend, kneel, or squat

  • Work in hot, cold, or dusty environments

Informational :
  • Starting salary $31.04/hour, after training $33.20-$ permanent position in a renowned agro-food company

  • Syndicated environment respecting Canadian safety standards

  • Rotating 12-hour shifts, 2 weeks day/2 weeks night (including weekends), with possibility of overtime

  • Easily accessible by public transportation, with parking available on site
