Welding Operator - TIG Welding

WELDING OPERATOR

Objective

1. Perform welding, chemical cleaning, and heat treatment processes according to authorized operation sheets, complying with programmed operational times.

Responsibilities and Functions

1. Perform resistance and arc welding (TIG) operations according to approved operation sheets and data cards.
2. Perform leak testing and chemical cleaning inspection processes according to approved operation sheets and data cards.
3. Maintenance of vacuum furnaces and operation according to approved operation sheets and data cards.

Requirements

Education:

1. Secondary School
2. High School Diploma or Technical Career (Desirable)

Required Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of manufacturing processes with welding technologies (TIG and/or Brazing).
2. Visual inspection of welds

Required Experience:

1. More than 2 years in the position
2. In operating welding equipment.
3. Interpretation of technical documentation for welding and furnaces.

Desirable Experience:

1. Operation of vacuum or retort furnaces.
2. Resistance welding.
3. Non-destructive testing inspection (visual and liquid penetrant).
