Function

As a Die Designer, you will contribute to the design and development of dies, cutting systems, and technical drawings for steel profiles. You will translate customer information and technical needs into feasible designs, with attention to quality, manufacturability, and standardization.

In this role, you will combine technical insight with accuracy and consultation. You will work on both new designs and modifications of existing drawings, and support the startup on production machines when necessary.

Design of new dies and cutting systems, including mechanical design and maximizing the use of standard tools
Preparation of execution drawings for the production of dies, spare parts, and cutting systems
3D modeling and drawing of new profiles based on customer drawings or 3D models
Indication of dimensions and tolerances
Providing technical support during execution and startup on production machines
Preparation of purchase requisitions in SAP and follow-up of the technical flow
Supplementing or correcting old drawings in function of spare parts and improvements
Contributing to planning, quality, and correct startup of the first rolling
Actively contributing to continuous improvement in terms of quality, efficiency, well-being, and environment
Strictly adhering to procedures and instructions regarding the environment and identifying areas for improvement

You will report to the manager tooling and work closely with internal technical teams, production, and quality. This is a role for someone who enjoys working in a technically in-depth manner, takes initiative, and wants to develop within an environment where precision and collaboration are central.

Profile

For this position, we are looking for a technically skilled candidate with a bachelor's degree or initial experience as an industrial engineer in a relevant technical field. You don't need to be a seasoned expert, but you should have a solid foundation and a strong willingness to learn.

We expect you to be familiar with technical drawing, have mechanical insight, and experience working in a structured production environment. Additionally, you possess an analytical and creative mindset, enabling you to help devise and refine technical solutions.

Education: bachelor's or junior industrial engineer in a technical field
Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of punching and cutting technology
Knowledge of tool steel, coatings, and joining systems such as clinching and seaming
Experience with technical drawing packages, preferably AutoCAD (2D) and NX (3D)
Good knowledge of MS Office and basic knowledge of F/E
Understanding of department-specific instructions and willingness to apply procedures correctly
Social and communication skills to collaborate smoothly with colleagues from different departments
Team-oriented work with a constructive and accurate attitude
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility
Creativity to arrive at practical and efficient designs
Willingness to undergo further training and continued technical development

Offer

You will join a stable and technical work environment in Gits, with a work rhythm of 39 hours per week and 10 ADV days. Collective leave is provided during the summer and between Christmas and New Year, with potentially more flexibility for some profiles.
