Oniryx - Mid-level QA Tester

Full-time freelance mission - 3 months, renewable - Gembloux To strengthen our teams, we are looking for a freelance Mid-level QA Tester to join a product team working on a web and mobile application in active development. You will work within our teams, from our Gembloux offices, in close collaboration with developers and the Product Owner. Your mission You will be responsible for the functional validation of new features, from the analysis of specifications to validation before production deployment. Your main responsibilities: Analyze specifications and acceptance criteria to define relevant scenarios and test cases. Perform functional, exploratory, non-regression, and end-to-end tests. Test REST APIs using Postman or an equivalent tool. Verify backend and frontend flows on test environments before production deployment. Document test plans and anomalies in Azure DevOps Test Plans or an equivalent tool. Write clear and easily actionable anomaly reports for developers. Collaborate with developers and the Product Owner to clarify acceptance criteria and expected behaviors. Pay particular attention to sensitive flows and data quality, especially regarding consistency, integrity, and traceability. Gradually contribute to test automation in addition to manual testing. Your profile Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, ideally on web and/or mobile applications. Good command of functional testing: test case design, exploratory testing, non-regression, and end-to-end testing. Comfortable with REST API testing, particularly via Postman or an equivalent tool. Ability to read technical specifications such as OpenAPI/Swagger and data schemas. Experience with a test and anomaly management tool such as Azure DevOps Test Plans. Basic SQL knowledge for database checks. Initial experience with Playwright, Cypress, Postman/Newman, or a similar tool is a plus. Experience in an environment involving financial or sensitive data is also a plus. Your soft skills: You are recognized for your rigor, attention to detail, and critical thinking. You enjoy understanding how a feature might behave in unexpected situations, beyond the simple nominal case. You are autonomous in organizing your tests, while knowing how to collaborate effectively with a small multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly when a blockage or anomaly arises. Languages: Fluent French is essential. Good understanding of technical English.
