Job Environment
You will be working at the Occupational Health Services (BGZ) department of the Coordination Center Expertise Working Conditions and Health (CEAG). This is the Advisory and Expertise Center for health protection within the Ministry of Defence and falls under the Defence Health Organization (DGO) of the Defence Support Command (DOSCO).

The occupational health services department implements preventive occupational health services and legally mandated medical examinations throughout the Ministry of Defence, with the exception of occupational health services related to determining the fitness for duty of military personnel in relation to their upcoming operational deployment. Furthermore, specific occupational health tasks managed by the Diving Medical Center (DMC), the Center for Man and Aviation (CML), and the Office for Special Medical Assessments (BMB) are excluded.
The occupational health services department consists of three regions that provide their services to a region within the Netherlands.

1. You independently support the preventive occupational medical activities at the region's work location by:
- Facilitating and coordinating activities in the region;
- Facilitating and coordinating the preconditions for independent medical examinations and assessments by the Occupational Health Assistant for Defence employees in accordance with the frameworks established by the Head of the BGZ department. In case of illness and/or leave of the occupational health assistant, tasks such as independent medical examinations can be temporarily taken over.
- Willingness to regularly visit various locations in the region independently.

2. You advise, coordinate, and guide in the field of working conditions care by:
- Facilitating and scheduling standardized medical examinations and Preventive Medical Examinations and discussing the subsequent follow-up steps;
- Serving as the point of contact for the region from the CEAG staff regarding IT, planning, execution of preventive occupational health services, and legally mandated medical examinations;
- Participating in working groups to improve the BGZ field of work.

3. You independently support the preparation and execution of activities within your own region and contribute to the tasks necessary for optimal functioning by performing general tasks, such as creating action plans and coordinating with the requesting party.

Job Requirements
- Knowledge of supporting methods and methodologies in healthcare within BGZ;
- Knowledge of the (military) medical organization, enabling the provision of appropriate advice and information to the care recipient or referral to the correct healthcare provider;
- Knowledge of internal procedures, oral and written agreements;
- General substantive knowledge and insight into current (interrelated) policy topics and processes within healthcare and the DGO organization;
- Insight into the care recipient's position relative to their operational obligations;
- Skill in dealing with care recipients who are demanding;
- Skill in dealing with care recipients who have an (acute) care need;
- Skill in working with various automated systems.
- Skill in setting up and executing multiple projects (simultaneously).
- Good communication skills in Dutch, preferably also in English.

Qualifications
- HBO (Higher professional education), preferably with a focus on occupational health care, healthcare, and welfare, or comparable sectors. Candidates with demonstrable extensive experience at this work and thinking level, but with an educational background at MBO level 4 (secondary vocational education), are also invited to apply.

Experience Requirements

- Dealing with multiple and sometimes conflicting interests.
-(Extensive) experience with work at a health center is a plus, and preferably primary (integrated military) healthcare.

Other Employment Conditions

From 2025 onwards, Defence employees will no longer receive holiday pay and year-end bonus as separate payments, but will accrue them monthly through the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB for Defence employees totals 16.33 percent of the salary. With the IKB, Defence employees can decide for themselves when, on what, and how much budget they spend on time, money, or fiscal facilities. This can be up to the maximum monthly accrued budget. The IKB can be used for:

• A maximum of 15 percent of the salary can be used monthly for the exchange of the commuting allowance.
• The monthly difference between the reimbursement for personal transportation costs for commuting and the fiscal maximum.
