Supportive Guide for People with Disabilities

About the job The supportive guide function is a stepping stone to working as a guide. This function is intended to give students who have prospects of obtaining a diploma some experience beforehand, so that they can start working directly as a guide after obtaining their diploma. You guide children, young people and young adults with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder or behavioral problems. You prepare yourself independently by choosing suitable activities. You work towards the goals and objectives set out in the care plan, taking into account the individual needs of each client. You also contribute to the development of the client's skills and abilities, and you are responsible for reporting on your activities and progress. The supportive guide function is a challenging but rewarding job that requires a great deal of patience, understanding and empathy.
