Then get started as a Junior Network Specialist at the CISBn (Communications and Information Systems Battalion), and together with your colleagues, provide ICT support for the headquarters of 1GNC (German/Netherlands Corps) and various NATO units. This is what you will do

As a Network Specialist at the CISBn, you will work within a binational unit. This means you will collaborate with German colleagues. The CISBn is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of communication and information systems, as well as cybersecurity within a multinational working environment. You will work with mobile ICT, which includes configuring the Local Area Network (LAN) or assisting users with their computer problems at the front office.

In addition to being a Network Specialist, you are also a junior officer, which means you possess the knowledge and skills to support the training and maintenance of the unit's basic military skills. Don't worry, you will be trained for this first!

Note: There are various start dates throughout the year. After applying, you will receive a personal application file, which includes a reporting date. Please note: this is a fictional date and therefore not correct. The start date for which you are eligible will only be determined later. This depends, among other things, on the results of the fitness test, psychological examination, medical examination, and security check, which are part of the application process. Once all these components have been successfully completed, your start date will be discussed and confirmed.

This is where you will work

At the CISBn, you will work within the binational unit, which is part of 1GNC, in Stroe or Eibergen. CISBn is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of communication and information systems, as well as cybersecurity within a multinational working environment. You will participate in exercises and should take into account that you may be deployed abroad.

Before you start, you will first complete the Junior Officer Training at the Royal Military School (KMS) in Ermelo, followed by a Technical Training Course (VTO). After successfully completing your training, you will immediately begin your career as a Junior Officer Signals Service Network Specialist.

The Royal Land Forces take your placement preference into account but may deviate from the initial placement preference for organizational reasons. The Royal Land Forces will inform you about your actual placement during the Technical Training Course.

After your training, you will start in this challenging position as a Junior Officer Signals Service Network Specialist in Eibergen or Stroe. After approximately 3 years, you can move to a next position, which could be within this unit, or at C2OstCo, or another unit in, for example, Stroe, Oirschot, Havelte. In the future, you can advance to positions in Wide Area Network (WAN) management, interoperability applications, or offensive/defensive Cyber Security (CEMA).
