Then a job as a Junior Officer Avionics Technician at the Defense organization is perfect for you. You will make a crucial contribution to the technical condition of components of the Air Force's helicopters and aircraft.

What you will do

Thanks to these advanced electronic components, the Air Force's helicopters and aircraft are deployable day and night under all weather conditions, both in the Netherlands and abroad. As a Junior Officer Avionics Technician, you are responsible for the maintenance of these components. You will analyze complaints, repair or replace components, test systems after repair, and perform preventive maintenance. You will be deployed for "component maintenance" at Woensdrecht Air Base, or for Higher Level Assistance on location, where you will be busy supporting an operational unit to get the aircraft or helicopter ready for deployment again. Wherever you work, your work is of vital importance.

Where you will work

After the basic military training at the Royal Air Education and Training Center (RAETC) in Woensdrecht, you will follow training for

Junior Officer Avionics Technician. After this, you will work at squadron 981 of the Air Support Command at Woensdrecht Air Base. Here you can further develop yourself and possibly move on to maintenance functions within the ground-based systems of the Air Force (e.g., the Patriot or Air Traffic Control).

Please note: During your application, you will be asked to provide three preferred locations. We will try to take these into account, but cannot guarantee that you will be placed at one of your preferred locations. This depends on availability at the respective locations.
