Have you completed your training as a dental assistant (MBO-4)? But are you looking for more than a standard job in a dental practice? Then you will probably feel completely at home as a Junior Officer Dental Assistant in the health center on the barracks, during exercises, or on deployment.

What you will do

Within the Defense organization, every employee deserves the best medical care. Defense therefore has an extensive medical service, with its own (dental) physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and pharmacists. During exercises and deployments, the medical unit sets up a complete infirmary with operating rooms, treatment rooms, and intensive care units. It is your task to support the dentist with various tasks. From preparing the practice room to preparing and sterilizing instruments. You will also assist during dental treatments and prepare materials for fillings and dental impressions. And not to forget: an important task is keeping the records up to date and receiving patients. In this role, you must be able to switch gears quickly and be flexible, because you must be able to provide the best medical care anywhere and at any time. But you don't mind putting in extra effort, do you?

Where you will work

In addition to working in the health center at one of the Army units, you will also participate in military exercises yourself. Like every soldier, you must take into account that you may be deployed abroad. But before you sink your teeth into this, you will first complete the training for Junior Officers at the Royal Military School in Ermelo. This training lasts 15 weeks. After completing the training, you can officially start as a Junior Officer Dental Assistant!
