FRENCH HORN PLAYER TUTTI (2 vacancies) (M/F)

What you will do

Playing in an orchestra is teamwork. Just as an F-35 pilot works together with technicians and air traffic controllers, you will work together with your colleagues, conductors, sound and light technicians. The repertoire is broad, the standard is high. You are involved with music full-time. If you are looking for a 9-to-5 job, stop reading. Because you won't encounter a normal workday. On rehearsal days, for example, you start at ten in the morning; during concerts for relations, you are busy all evenings. But you also play during ceremonies. Such as during the visit of a foreign head of state or during the commemoration of fallen Air Force military personnel on July 1st.

Before you start working for the Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra, you will complete a 13-week military training course at the Royal Air Education and Training Center (RAETC) in Woensdrecht. This training at the RAETC is fully reimbursed by the Air Force. As soon as you start your training, you will receive a salary. The training starts in the second half of 2026.

Where you will work

Furthermore, you must meet the medical, physical, and psychological requirements of the Ministry of Defence. A pre-selection will take place based on your curriculum vitae and cover letter.
