With a diploma in a field such as metalworking or precision mechanics, you can work as a welder or construction worker. But you can do more with your skills as a Non-Commissioned Officer Metalworking in the Air Force. Together with your team, you will create custom metal parts to order. Will you take on this challenge?

This is what you will do

The Air Force is a high-tech organization with aircraft, helicopters, and weapon systems full of metal parts. Most parts come from the factory, but we also provide custom solutions. Think of new connecting pieces, discs, or pipes that are needed but are not (or not available on time). As a Non-Commissioned Officer Metalworking, you have all the equipment to measure and replicate metal objects. From V-blocks to internal micrometers and from lathes to sliding calipers. You are a very important and flexible link in the maintenance process. One thing is certain: no two days will be the same.

This is where you will work

You will work at one of the Air Force bases in the country and may be deployed abroad. Before you start as a Non-Commissioned Officer Metalworking, you will complete military training and vocational training at the Royal Air Education and Training Center (RAETC) in Woensdrecht.

Note: When applying, you will be asked to provide three preferred locations. We will try to take these into account, but cannot guarantee that you will be placed at one of your preferred locations. This depends on the availability at the respective locations.
