This is what you'll do

As Sergeant MSMW, you are a master of sterilizing medical equipment. Additionally, assembling surgical sets. Operating sterilizers and performing the sterilization process where the process flow is continuously monitored and documented. Does your heart beat faster from these tasks? This is where you'll work

After induction, you will first follow a specialist training course at the Royal Military School in Ermelo. During the training, you will be taught the basic principles of military affairs.

Then you will work within the Sterilization Group of a Hospital Company belonging to 400 Medical Battalion in Ermelo. This battalion is part of the Royal Land Army. 400 Medical Battalion provides medical support to various military units in both domestic and foreign countries, as well as humanitarian aid. A particularly exciting and dynamic working environment! Within this field, you are responsible for maintaining medical equipment and your own sterilization module as Sergeant MSMW. As Sergeant MSMW, you will have a real chance of being deployed or part of an expedition to abroad. You will then be stationed on a military base or aboard a naval ship to exercise your sterilization function. An important and indispensable task and a unique experience for life!

The Royal Land Army takes into account your preferred placement, but may deviate from the initial placement due to organizational reasons. The Royal Land Army will inform you during the Vocational Training about your actual placement.

Your starting salary depends on your age, education level, and experience. As you gain knowledge and experience, so will your salary grow with you. In addition to your salary, as a military member, you will also receive various structural and incidental allowances. During your service period (including your initial training), you will also build up each year a (gross) appointment premium/bonus. You will receive this at the end of your service period, unless you want to receive an advance payment.
