Have you followed a logistics education and are you good at arranging and organizing? Do you always maintain an overview and think that an administrative job suits you well? Then you are perfectly suited for this job: as a Junior Officer Logistics in the Royal Netherlands Air Force, you will ensure the management and distribution of supplies; at the base, but also during exercises and deployments.

Note: If you are hired for this position, you will be appointed as a 'Junior Officer Logistics' within the Ministry of Defence.

What you will do

As a Junior Officer Logistics in the Air Force, you will ensure that the materials we use within the Air Force are correctly booked, properly packed, and end up in the right place. From paperclips to aircraft engines, from lubricants and gasoline to clothing and flight gear.

You can work in various logistics domains, such as Procurement, Transport, Warehouse & Distribution, Operational Logistics, Facility Management, and Supply Chain Management (chain logistics), and in some positions, you will be responsible for a team of approximately 4 or 5 colleagues.

• Work atmosphere: nowhere will you be part of such a close-knit team of colleagues as at the Ministry of Defence.
• Challenge: your workplace will be an airbase, but you will also participate in exercises and missions abroad.

Note: There are various start dates throughout the year. After applying, you will receive a personal application file, which includes a call-up date. Please note: this is a fictitious date and therefore incorrect. The start date you are eligible for will be determined later.

Where you will work

You will be operationally placed at an Air Force airbase. You will participate in exercises and must take into account that you may be deployed abroad.

But before you start working, you will first complete the Junior Officer Training at the Royal Air Education and Training Center (RAETC) in Woensdrecht, followed by the Technical Training (VTO) at the RAETC or another airbase. After successfully completing your training, you will immediately begin your career as a Junior Officer Logistics in the Air Force.

As a Junior Officer Logistics, you will ensure that the materials used within the Royal Netherlands Air Force are correctly booked, properly packed, and end up in the right place. Furthermore, as a Junior Officer Logistics, you can work in various logistics domains, such as Procurement, Transport, Warehouse & Distribution, Operational Logistics, Facility Management, and Supply Chain Management (chain logistics). Later, as a Junior Officer Logistics, you can specialize in one of the domains and can train and educate new junior officers in it.
