Offshore Mechanical Lead - Safety, Maintenance & Equipment

A leading offshore engineering company in Singapore seeks a dedicated technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of mechanical equipment. You will be involved in conducting safety reviews, maintaining compliance, and collaborating with the O&M crew and third-party contractors. Ideal candidates will have mechanical troubleshooting experience and a strong commitment to safety practices. This position offers a full-time opportunity on-site, contributing significantly to the company's operations. Key responsibilities include: • Conducting regular safety reviews of mechanical equipment to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date. • Collaborating with O&M crew members and third-party contractors to resolve mechanical issues and optimize equipment performance. • Providing technical guidance and support to junior technicians and other team members. • Identifying and reporting potential hazards or near-miss incidents, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance, preferably in an offshore environment. • Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, as required. • Valid offshore survival training certification (e.g., OPITO or equivalent).
