Officer Operating Room Assistant Military Hospital Partnership
Job description
Introductory text
Are you trained as an operating room assistant and looking for a varied job with a unique employer? Do you want to use your medical care talents for peace and security? Then apply as an Officer Operating Room Assistant at the Institute for Cooperation Defence and Partnership Hospitals. There you can work in civilian healthcare and you can be deployed during military exercises and missions.
What you will do
At Defence, we want to offer every employee the best medical care. That is why we have an extensive healthcare organization. Part of this is the Institute for Cooperation Defence and Partnership Hospitals (IDR). The IDR coordinates the cooperation between Defence and the 14 so-called partnership hospitals and ensures the availability of surgical teams for military deployment. As an Officer Operating Room Assistant, you will be part of the operating team in the partnership hospital, which is responsible for the smooth running of an operation. But the Officer Operating Room Assistant is active in two worlds; in addition to working in one of the partnership hospitals, you are also available for military deployment such as exercises and missions.
During exercises and on missions, you can be deployed in various locations, for example in a field hospital. You always work with a mixed team. It is possible that you will work in a well-equipped hospital, but also in a makeshift environment with (very) limited resources.
In addition to hard (technical) skills, it is important that you possess a number of additional competencies. In your role as Officer Operating Room Assistant, you are someone the entire operating room team and the patient can rely on, anywhere in the world, under all circumstances!
In addition, you play an active role in your military professional group and broaden your professional network at meetings and symposia. You maintain your military basic skills and undergo the fitness test annually.
PLUS POINTS OF THIS FUNCTION
- Salary: your gross basic salary, through allowances and our favorable travel expenses, pension, and healthcare scheme, will result in a pleasant surprise net.
- Work atmosphere: nowhere will you be part of such a close-knit team of colleagues as at Defence.
- Development opportunities: Defence is not only an employer but also a large training institute where you can follow courses to grow personally and professionally.
- Working in two worlds, both in a civilian hospital with top clinical care and in a military medical facility, anywhere in the world.
Note: There are various start dates throughout the year. After applying, you will receive a personal application file, which includes a reporting date. Please note: this is a fictional date and therefore incorrect. The start date for which you are eligible will only be determined later. This depends, among other things, on the outcome of the fitness test, the psychological assessment, the medical examination, and the security investigation, which are part of the application process. Once all these components have been successfully completed, your start date will be discussed and confirmed.
