Then the job as an Officer Physical Education & Sports with the Army might be the perfect job for you. In this role, you will lead and guide a group of well-trained MBO4 colleagues who teach daily in a dynamic environment.

What you will do

As an Officer Physical Education & Sports with the Army, you will become part of the Physical Education & Sports organization. This department provides guidance and training to military personnel in terms of physical and mental well-being. With your team, you are responsible for keeping our men and women fit for duty and task. How? By leading your assigned sports instructors. By providing them with the right sports lessons, but also by teaching them to push their limits and deal with fear. This is how you prepare your team (both units and individuals) for operational deployment.

Note: There are different start dates throughout the year. After applying, you will receive a personal application file, which will include an intake date. Please note: this is a fictional date and therefore not accurate. The start date for which you are eligible will be determined later. This depends, among other things, on the results of the fitness test, the psychological assessment, the medical examination, and the security screening, which are part of the application process. Once all these parts have been successfully completed, your start date will be discussed and confirmed.

Where you will work

You will be stationed at one of the Army units in the Netherlands. You will lead Physical Education & Sports instructors and provide mental support to military units and individuals. You will participate in exercises and should take into account that you may be deployed abroad.

Before you start working, you will first complete a Defense-wide Short Officer Training (DKOO) at the Royal Military Academy in Breda. This training lasts one year and consists of: a Basic Training Royal Army (BOKL), in which you will learn all basic military skills (3 months), Adaptation in the KO KMA components. Finally, you will follow a Technical Vocational Training (VTO) at the Sports School in Amersfoort. After successfully completing your training, you will immediately begin your career as an Officer Physical Education & Sports.

The Royal Army takes your placement preference into account, but may deviate from the initial placement preference for organizational reasons. The Royal Army will inform you about your actual placement for the technical vocational training.
