Then the job as a Physical Education & Sports Officer in the Army might be the job for you. In this role, you will lead and guide a group of well-trained MBO4 colleagues who teach daily in a dynamic environment.

What you will do

As a Physical Education & Sports Officer in the Army, you will become part of the PE & Sports organization. This department provides guidance and training to military personnel on a physical and mental level. With your team, you are responsible for keeping our men and women fit for duty and task. How? By leading your assigned sports instructors. By giving them the right sports lessons, but also by teaching them to push their limits and deal with fear. This is how you prepare your team (both units and individuals) for operational deployment.

Note: There are various start dates throughout the year. After applying, you will receive a personal application file, which includes an intake date. Please note: this is a fictional date and therefore incorrect. The start date for which you are eligible will be determined later. This depends, among other things, on the results of the fitness test, psychological examination, medical examination, and security screening, which are part of the application process. Once all these components have been successfully completed, your start date will be discussed and finalized.

Where you will work

You will be stationed at one of the Army units in the Netherlands. You will lead PE & Sports instructors and provide mental support to military units and individuals. You will participate in exercises and must take into account that you may be deployed abroad.

Before you start working, you will first follow a Defense-wide Short Officer Training (DKOO) at the Royal Military Academy in Breda. This training lasts one year and consists of: a Basic Training Royal Army (BOKL), in which you will learn all basic military skills (3 months), Adaptation in the KO KMA components. Finally, you will follow a Technical Vocational Training (VTO) at the Sports School in Amersfoort. After successfully completing your training, you will immediately begin your career as a PE & Sports Officer.

The Royal Army considers your placement preference, but may deviate from the initial placement preference for organizational reasons. The Royal Army will inform you about your actual placement for the technical vocational training.
