Officer Finance & Control

Introduction As other ministries, Defense must keep a sharp eye on expenses. There is therefore much attention to efficient financial policy and internal control. Do you want to contribute as a leader to an efficient Marechaussee? Then apply as Officer Finance & Control. This is what you will do The work will be carried out within the Financial Affairs and Control Department of the Staff Commander Royal Marechausse (CKMar). The Staff CKMar is responsible for supporting CKMar in its tasks by providing advice, guidance and coordination. Your main task will be to provide financial management and control support to the various units within the Marechaussee. You will also be involved in the development of financial policy and the implementation of financial regulations. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of a culture of financial responsibility within the organization. This includes identifying and addressing potential risks and opportunities for improvement. Your work will be carried out in close collaboration with other departments and units within the Marechaussee. You will also have regular contact with external parties such as suppliers, customers and stakeholders. The working environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness and quality. To perform this task, you must have a master's degree in finance or a related field. You should also have at least 5 years of experience in financial management and control, preferably within the defense sector. In addition to your academic background and professional experience, you should be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving results. The language proficiency required for this position is Dutch (native level) and English (fluent).
