Just like other ministries, the Ministry of Defence must watch its pennies. Therefore, there is a lot of attention for efficient financial policy and internal control. Do you want to contribute as a manager to an efficient Royal Netherlands Marechaussee? Then apply as an Officer Finance & Control.

What You Will Do

The activities will be performed within the Finance and Control department of the Staff of the Commander of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (CKMar). The Staff CKMar is responsible for supporting CKMar in the management of the Marechaussee.

The Staff CKMar operates at a strategic level and deals with, among other things:

• The vision and strategy formation of the Marechaussee, including analyzing societal developments and working out their consequences for the Marechaussee;
• Participating in and influencing the policy and plan development of authority and management, including the BPB process focused on the allocation and control of resources;
• Advising CKMar and the Secretary-General of Defence in his role as corps manager of the Marechaussee;
• Setting frameworks, supporting, and facilitating the decentralized units.

Note: The training starts in September. After applying, you will receive a personal application file, which includes an enlistment date. Please note: this is a fictitious date and therefore incorrect. The start date for which you are eligible will only be determined later. This depends, among other things, on the results of the fitness test, psychological examination, medical examination, and security screening, which are part of the application process. Once all these components have been successfully completed, your start date will be discussed and finalized.

Where You Will Work

You will be placed at the Staff of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee in The Hague. Before you start working, you will first complete the Short Officer Training at the Royal Military Academy (KMA) in Breda (1 year). Subsequently, you will complete the Professional Technical Training (VTO) to learn the specific regulations. Finally, you will complete some modules at the Training, Education, and Knowledge Centre of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (OTCKMar) in Apeldoorn. After successfully completing the training, you will immediately begin your career as an Advisor Finance and Controls at the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee.
Please keep in mind that you may be deployed abroad.
