Then a job as an Officer Electronic Engineer with the Air Force is for you. As an officer, you will lead the maintenance of the electronics of our helicopters, airplanes, and radar systems.

What you will do

The helicopters, airplanes, and radar systems within the Air Force are packed with electronics that must function flawlessly. As an Officer Electronic Engineer, you and your team will ensure the correct functioning and deployment of the systems both domestically and abroad. From repairing and inspecting components to carrying out complex modification programs: you will solve it together. You will closely follow developments within aviation and be involved in the introduction of new weapon systems and maintenance procedures. In many cases, you will also be a personnel manager. So, with a passion for technology and leadership, you will be perfectly suited for this role.

Where you will work

You will work in one of the departments where the weapon systems of the Air Force are maintained. The maintenance of aircraft and helicopters takes place at our airbases, at training locations outside the Netherlands, or during deployments. The most complex maintenance is carried out at the Logistics Center Woensdrecht. As an experienced Officer Electronic Engineer, you may also be stationed abroad for a certain period in the future. Before you start working, you will follow the four-year Military Scientific Education (MWO) at the Royal Military Academy in Breda and a vocational training of a few months. The Military Scientific Education you will follow is the bachelor's degree in Military Systems & Technology.
