Job description
The officer responsible for planning and conducting aerial operations is an operational officer. His role is to pilot the implementation of air missions, ensuring coordination between different actors: squadrons, intelligence services, support units, and command. He develops flight plans, anticipates tactical and logistical constraints, manages available air resources, and ensures the safety of aircraft and personnel involved. Whether it involves planning a mission or responding to an emergency, he must be able to adapt quickly and make decisions under pressure. The officer must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. He must also be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership qualities. In addition to his operational responsibilities, the officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures, as well as maintaining accurate records of flight operations and personnel training. The officer will work closely with other units and services to ensure the success of air missions. He must be able to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain a high level of situational awareness at all times.
