Job description
About the role; As a gifted, talented OT, you will provide specialist developmental assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children with disabilities and/or developmental delays. Working with a range of paediatric clients (ages 0-16yrs old) who need your skill set to improve their lives. The role is varied and no two days are the same - working across three units / clinics & within the community (home / school visits) that cover western Wellington (Porirua, Keneperu and Kapiti regions). A comprehensive understanding of child development theories and principles is essential for this role. You will be required to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, psychologists, social workers, teachers and other health professionals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build effective relationships with clients, families and colleagues. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines is also important. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
