Occupational Therapist - Paediatrics

About the role;
As a gifted, talented OT, you will provide specialist developmental assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children with disabilities and/or developmental delays. Working with a range of paediatric clients (ages 0-16yrs old) who need your skill set to improve their lives.
The role is varied and no two days are the same - working across three units / clinics & within the community (home / school visits) that cover western Wellington (Porirua, Keneperu and Kapiti regions). A community collaborative role, working to your strengths.

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Manage a caseload of clients providing clinical guidance and support
• Carry out client assessments and report on your findings
• Utilise your "play" skills to facilitate movement, activity and participation
• Negotiate with stakeholders ensuring a safe rehab process
• Provide clients and their families with education and support

Skills and experience you will need;

• A minimum of 3-4 years post graduate clinical experience
• Registration with the Occupational Therapist NZ Board, and current APC
• Must have Enable accreditation and experience in housing modifications at all levels
• Goal focused team player with the ability to work autonomously
• Full clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
