What makes this job interesting for me: 50Hertz is planning and implementing a series of cable projects to strengthen the transmission grid. The SuedOstLink, our first high-voltage direct current transmission connection (HGÜ), is already under construction. After a long planning and approval phase, the construction of the major NordOstLink project is also drawing nearer. The line extends over approximately 190 kilometers. As a sub-project manager for construction management, I will be in the role of senior project manager on the client's side and will independently manage the realization of a section of the route.

My tasks:

• Development of the concept and setup of the construction office for the route section,
• Establishment and leadership of a project-specific organization with functional leadership of internal and external project members and service providers,
• Client-side management of the construction office and operational control of construction activities, quality monitoring, as well as the execution and assurance of inspections and controls,
• Preparation and optimization of the construction schedule, assurance of HSE and quality specifications, as well as client-side representation towards internal and external stakeholders,
• Preparation of procurement plans, participation in the development of awarding strategies, and control of tender procedures,
• Continuous monitoring of the budget to identify deviations at an early stage, support with invoice verification and approval of incoming invoices from service providers and suppliers, approval of payments for concluded contracts,
• Detailed documentation of all work realized in the sub-project and ensuring efficient interface management.

• Completed degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering with a focus on construction, or a practically oriented apprenticeship with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in the relevant subject area, or comparable,
• Experience in the planning and operational site management of large infrastructure projects with high investment volumes,
• Sound knowledge in the areas of HSE and quality management,
• IT skills (Office suite) and project management tools,
• Driving license and willingness to work in a construction site office in the Lübeck or Schwerin area and on construction sites (on average 4 days per week),
• Fluent German (C1) and English (B1) language skills.
