To strengthen our team in the outpatient clinic of the Center for Addiction Medicine, we are seeking a dedicated individual at the Aarau site, effective immediately or by appointment, for the position of
Consultant Physician / Senior Physician in Addiction Medicine (Outpatient)

"The Center for Addiction Medicine is part of the Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at PDAG (Clinic Director Prof. Dr. med. ) and is jointly led by PD Dr. med. - Pichler, Chief Physician, and Geissberger, Head of Nursing. It treats individuals with addiction disorders, including subsequent and co-occurring mental health conditions, particularly dual diagnoses, and covers the spectrum from harm reduction to abstinence-oriented treatment. At the main site in Windisch, three specialized wards with different treatment focuses and day-patient places are available for this purpose. Also in Windisch, the center manages substitution-assisted treatment and heroin-assisted treatment for individuals with opioid dependence. At the Aarau, Baden, and Windisch sites, it offers outpatient addiction medicine assessments, treatments, and specialized consultations, including for behavioral addictions. Participation in ongoing clinical research projects is possible and supported. The center is an SIWF-recognized training institution for the specialization of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of Addiction Disorders, Category A, inpatient and outpatient (2 years for the specialization, 1 additional year can be credited towards the specialist title)."
Profile
You possess the specialist recognition for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy or are nearing completion.
Entry in the Medical Professions Register (MedReg) is mandatory.
You have very good German language skills, at least at the C1 level.
Ideally, you have experience in treating addiction disorders as well as in an outpatient setting.
You are versatile, motivating, enthusiastic, independent, and make decisions with confidence.
Organizational skills, good communication abilities, and a pleasure in interdisciplinary and networked collaboration characterize you.
Tasks
You independently conduct outpatient psychiatric-psychotherapeutic assessments and treatments for adult individuals with addiction disorders. You also consider comorbid mental illnesses.
You assume leadership responsibility for a small, multidisciplinary treatment team.
Your tasks include supervising the subordinate psychotherapists working under delegation.
You actively participate in the further training of the interdisciplinary team and contribute to the further development of treatment concepts.
You promote networking between outpatient and inpatient services as well as with upstream and downstream agencies of the addiction help system. The goal is integrated and needs-based treatment for individuals with addiction disorders.
You participate in on-call duties within the framework of PDAG's duty concept.
