Senior Physician (m/f/d) / Eye Clinic and Polyclinic

The Hanseatic and university city of Rostock is a lively and child-friendly port city on the Baltic Sea. To support the medical staff in the Eye Clinic and Polyclinic, we are looking for a senior physician (m/f/d) at the earliest possible time, preferably full-time employment (40 hours/week), unlimited and remunerated according to the TV-Ärzte (Ä3), who will take over the responsibilities of the department as a whole and lead the team with expertise and charisma. The tasks include: • Clinical work in the outpatient clinic and hospital ward; • Participation in interdisciplinary rounds and conferences; • Development and implementation of treatment concepts and quality management measures; • Supervision and mentoring of junior physicians, residents and medical students; • Contribution to the development of departmental policies and guidelines; • Representation of the department at internal and external events. The ideal candidate should have: • A medical degree (Dr. med.) or equivalent qualification; • At least 5 years of professional experience in ophthalmology; • Excellent clinical skills and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases; • Strong communication and leadership skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Familiarity with electronic patient records and medical software.
