Job description
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Locum Speech Pathologist in Shepparton, VIC!
Work with clients from funding streams such as HCP, CHSP as well as some private clients. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other allied health staff and supervise allied health assistants as required.
Other points:
- Working with the frail aged and people with a disability to maximise independence at home.
- Working with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home
- Developing goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local community
- Collaborating with other clinicians in the RAHT team to offer holistic care to clients referred
- Working with a diverse range of clients and health conditions.
- Working across funding streams such as HACC PYP, CHSP & possibly the NDIS (minimal, if any)
- Opportunity to work with Allied Health Assistantsto undertake client care programs and equipment trials.
- Primarily home based work with some opportunity for clinic appts.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
- Adult dysphagia management
- Videofluroscopies
- Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
- Community experience
- Experience with range of health conditions incl. progressive neurological disorders
- Current driver's licence and car (required)
- Police Check
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia
