Nurse Unit Manager - Oncology | Sydney

A key leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Oncology Team on a permanent full-time basis at a private Oncology and Infusion Centre in Sydney. ABOUT THE ROLE In this key leadership role, you will work closely with oncology clinicians while ensuring the efficient management of staff and resources, delivering care that aligns with policies, procedures, and best practice standards. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will mentor and support a team of nurses, manage budgets, and oversee all aspects of the unit's operations. RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide leadership and direction to the oncology nursing team. * Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. * Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the unit. * Manage budgets and resources effectively. * Mentor and support nursing staff. * Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives. * Ensure that staff are appropriately trained and competent. * Manage and resolve any complaints or issues. * Promote a positive and supportive work environment. REQUIREMENTS * Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in oncology nursing. * Previous experience in a leadership or management role. * Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively. * Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and standards. * Commitment to continuous professional development. * Experience with chemotherapy administration and management.
