Nurse Manager - Women's Health & Clinical Services
Job description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced leader for a women's health provider, offering cervical screening, HPV vaccinations, pregnancy testing, sexual health checks, and community health promotion.
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of women's health services, you will lead workforce planning, mentor staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and equitable care. This role supports community outreach and health promotion activities, helping to reduce screening inequities for Māori, Pacific, and diverse women.
While the role is fixed-term to cover maternity leave, candidates with leadership experience in women's health may be offered an alternate leadership role within the clinic, although this cannot be guaranteed at this stage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee clinical operations, workforce planning and rostering
- Lead quality improvement, risk management and audit processes
- Support clinical service delivery
- Mentor and assess nurses, educators and screening trainees
- Support clinical education and professional development
- Support health promotion events, mobile clinics and outreach programmes
- Strengthen partnerships with Māori, Pacific, and community organisations
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- New Zealand resident or citizen
- Postgraduate qualification in Advanced Nursing Practice (PGDip or higher)
- Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Proven management and leadership experience
- Minimum three years of cervical screening experience
- Authorised Vaccinator
Desirable:
- LARC practitioner
- Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and health equity principles
- Experience in kaupapa Māori and Pacific-led health settings
- Experience delivering clinical education
- Active membership in NZNO and/or NZSHS
