As a Nurse Consultant - Diabetes, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality patient care and education to individuals living with diabetes. Your expertise will contribute to improving health outcomes for people with diabetes across South Australia. Key responsibilities: • Provide expert clinical advice and support to healthcare professionals and patients with diabetes. • Develop and implement evidence-based guidelines, protocols and policies for the management of diabetes. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver education programs for patients with diabetes. • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to diabetes care. • Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members. Requirements: • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current practicing certificate in South Australia. • Postgraduate qualification in Diabetes Education or a related field. • Minimum 3 years of experience working in diabetes education or management. • Strong understanding of the principles of evidence-based practice and quality improvement. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
