Nurse Assessor - Hybrid

About the Role

Are you ready to do something different with your clinical skills? We’re seeking qualified Nurses to join our client’s team as Nurse Assessors. This is a hybrid role based in Gloucester, offering a mix of home working and on-site assessments.

Applications are also welcomed from Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

You’ll conduct functional health assessments for individuals applying for disability-related benefits, helping decision-makers understand how conditions impact daily life. This is a non-treatment role focused on assessment and reporting, with full training provided.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments in a supportive, non-clinical environment.
• Gather and analyse information on impact of health conditions.
• Review medical evidence and claimant documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare clear, structured reports for DWP decision-makers.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum 1 year post-registration experience as a Nurse, OT or Physio.
• Current registration with NMC, HCPC or relevant UK body.
• Strong communication, observation and IT skills.
• Ability to write clear, structured reports.

• Salary: £40,000 starting salary.
• Work-life balance: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, no nights or weekends.
