The nuclear medicine manipulator is at the heart of the nuclear medicine service. His main tasks are :

- Patient reception and care: He welcomes the patient, informs him about the examination procedure and precautions to take, including radiation protection. He ensures his well-being and safety throughout the procedure.

- Preparation and administration of products: He is responsible for preparing and injecting radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive substances used for imaging or treatment), under the responsibility of a doctor or radiopharmacian.

- Conducting exams: He manipulates cutting-edge equipment such as scintigraphes or TEP-scans to acquire images. He must master imaging techniques to obtain high-quality images, essential for diagnosis.

- Radiation protection: Safety is a priority. The manipulator vigilantly ensures compliance with radiation protection protocols for the patient, the public, and himself.

- Data processing: He processes image data and archives it for interpretation by a doctor.

- Participation in therapies: He may be involved in internal vectorized radiotherapy (RIV) treatments that use radioactive isotopes to target diseased cells. You must hold a diploma in nuclear medicine manipulation and have up-to-date radioprotection training.

Salary to be defined according to experience

The necessary skills for this service rely both on relational qualities with patients and mastery of medical imaging techniques and increasingly sophisticated equipment.
