Job description
Job Description: Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field Licensure/Certification: National Provider Identifier (NPI) and DEA registration required. Must be certified as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) by a recognized certifying organization. Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in a general surgery setting. Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, ability to maintain patient confidentiality, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
