Notary

We are looking for a talented and experienced notary to join a dynamic study located in Montreal.

This position is addressed to a seasoned notary wishing to assume more responsibilities while actively contributing to the strategic development of the study.

As a notary associate, you will be called upon to draft and authenticate various legal documents, manage complex files, and supervise junior notaries. Your expertise will play a key role in maintaining client satisfaction and ensuring legal compliance of transactions.

• Draft and authenticate a variety of notarial documents, including contracts, wills, property deeds, and corporate documents.
• Manage and supervise complex transactions, ensuring the quality of service offered to clients.
• Supervise, train, and support junior notaries and administrative staff.
• Collaborate with other law professionals and business partners to offer a comprehensive approach to clients' legal needs.
• Actively participate in business development and growth initiatives of the study.
• Stay informed about legislative and regulatory developments affecting notarial practice.
• Maintain and develop trust-based relationships with clients and business partners.

• Be a member in good standing of the Quebec Notaries' Chamber.
• Possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a notary, ideally in real estate and/or commercial law.
• Excellent skills in judicial writing and complex file management.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
• Solid aptitudes in communication and interpersonal relations.
• Mastery of French and English, both orally and in writing.
• Leadership, dynamism, and ability to promote a collaborative and formative environment.
