Newsroom Editor (w/m/d) in Teilzeit (50%) – Early Shift - Berlin or remote

Your Profile

We are looking for a curious, media-savvy person with genuine interest in current news and the willingness to start early. The role is suitable for both beginners and students (approx. 20 hours per week) who want to gain practical experience in the newsroom environment.

The focus of the position lies on working in the early shift as well as structured preparation and quality control of media content.

• You are a news junkie, following current political and economic topics and being close to the news scene
• You have interest in traditional and digital media as well as general digital affinity
• You like working in a team, are engaged, and have no hesitation in asking internal questions or moving things forward independently
• Very good German language skills, good English language skills an advantage
• You are comfortable with common tools (Mac, G Suite, Slack)
• A self-reliant, structured, and reliable work style with high quality standards rounds out your profile
• If you're a student: Ongoing studies (e.g., in the field of media, communication, social sciences, business, etc.)

Your Tasks

• You will work in the newsroom team and be responsible for creating individual media mirrors and media resonance analyses independently
• You will advise and support our customers on all matters related to their media observation
• You will create summaries
• You will set up search requests, optimize them continuously, and contribute to quality control thereby

Working Hours

• You will work primarily in the early shift and take on shifts of approximately 4 hours within a time frame from 05:30
• You will take 1-2 assignments per month on weekends (Saturday or Sunday), naturally planned in advance with corresponding compensation during the week
