New Product Developer - FMCG

Description RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a creative and experienced New Product Developer to join our client's team in the Food Production Industry. As a New Product Developer, you will be responsible for developing and launching new food products that meet market demands and drive business growth. Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end product development process from concept ideation to commercialization Conduct market research and consumer insights analysis to identify new product opportunities and trends Develop product briefs, outlining product specifications, target audience, and marketing strategies Create and refine product formulations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product launches Conduct sensory evaluations and taste tests to assess product quality and consumer acceptance Prepare and present product development updates and recommendations to senior management Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and consumer preferences to inform product development decisions Manage product costing and pricing strategies to achieve profitability targets Oversee product testing and validation processes to ensure product performance and quality Identify and resolve any product-related issues or challenges Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and packaging materials Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field Proven experience in new product development within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry Strong understanding of food product formulation and processing techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Creative and innovative thinking skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment Chance to contribute to the development of exciting new food products Professional development and career advancement opportunities
