This established Brisbane based Allied Health organisation prides itself on the support and flexibility it offers to its 36 clinicians. They are currently seeking a passionated and driven New Graduate Speech Pathologist to join their team near Mango Hill!

  • Weekly supervision with a Senior Speech Pathologist with 8+ Years experience
  • Hybrid Role; work in the clinic and out in the community & WFH for admin
  • Travel allowance; 97c per km and a travel cap of up to 40mins from the clinic location

  • Choose your start/ finish times or work a 9 day fortnight and have a weekday off!
  • Weekly discipline specific training and lots of opportunities for work shadowing other therapists
  • Comprehensive 2 week induction program where you will undertake work shadowing and learn procedures and systems

Your Role:

In your role, you will gradually increase to seeing 25 clients over the week over a period of 3-6 months. You will work with a diverse, mixed ages caseload of NDIS & private clients who have a lifelong disability that may be congenital or acquired. You may also see some clients with less permanent disabilities, including early intervention language clients and clients with less severe speech sound difficulties.

Your day-to-day will involve seeing clients face to face, completing notes, making resources, liaising with other stakeholders and report writing as required. You may be working on communication (speech, language, voice, social communication and/or multimodal communication), other assistive technology or mealtime management (if an area of interest).

Support:
  • Weekly supervision sessions with a Senior Speech Pathologist to receive support with your caseload and ask any clinical questions you may have.
  • Billable target: gradual increasing to 5 a day over a period of 3-6months
  • Discipline specific training each Monday with your team
  • Fortnightly multidisciplinary training sessions
  • A $1000 professional development allowance to undertake external courses + 3 Days PD leave
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • SPA membership
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Drivers license and own vehicle
