Job description
We are looking for support in the operation of large network and data center infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Operation, monitoring, and administration of data center and network infrastructures
- Administration and configuration of Cisco and Alcatel network components
- Operation and further development of large network structures in the public sector
- Configuration and troubleshooting of routing and switching environments
- Administration of VLANs, trunking, and Spanning Tree
- Configuration and optimization of LACP and redundant network connections
- Implementation and monitoring of Quality-of-Service (QoS) concepts
- Analysis and resolution of complex network disturbances
- Implementation of changes, extensions, and optimizations to the existing infrastructure
- Documentation of network components, configurations, and implemented changes
- Participation in network projects and the further development of the infrastructure
Qualifications
- Completed training in the IT field, e.g., as an IT specialist for system integration, or a comparable degree
- Several years of professional experience in the administration or engineering of network environments
- Sound knowledge in routing and switching
- Good practical experience with Spanning Tree, VLANs, trunking, LACP, and QoS
- Experience with Cisco network components; knowledge of Alcatel is an advantage
- Experience in operating large and complex network structures
- Analytical and structured working method for error analysis and troubleshooting
- High sense of responsibility and reliable working method
- Good German language skills and ideally good English language skills
