Network System Engineer (all genders)

Full Time Entry Level

Job description

We are looking for an experienced developer who belongs to one of the established heavyweights in the German IT services landscape. What distinguishes him is not loudness, but substance: high-critical IT infrastructures, long-term customer relationships and a clear claim to quality, stability and further development.

In the course of the further expansion of network and security services, we are looking for an exclusive mandate for a Network System Engineer, who understands networks not only operates them, but also thinks ahead and takes responsibility.

WeConsulting accompanies this process as a central point of contact, bindingly, discreetly and in partnership.

Aufgaben

Networks as backbone:
You maintain, configure and optimize complex LAN-, WAN-, WLAN- and Firewall environments – both in internal infrastructures and remotely at demanding end customers.

Architecture with substance:
You actively work on network and security architectures, plan part projects, and bring your technical ideas consistently into implementation.

Stability without compromise:
High availability is not a buzzword for you, but standard. You ensure a smooth operation and think networks proactively, not reactively.

Analyze instead of actionism:
You approach disturbances structuredly – with clean analysis, clear approach, and sustainable solution.

2nd-Level on eye level:
You are a sparring partner for colleagues and customers at complex network topics and will be recognized as a technical authority.

Dokumentation with claim:
You document networks so that they remain understandable, maintainable, and audit-ready. Structure is part of your professionalism.

Qualification

A completed education as Fachinformatiker or an Informatikstudium (Bachelor is sufficient)

Practical experience in network management (TCP/IP, VPN, Routing, Switching)

Fundamental knowledge of the Cisco environment (LAN, WAN, WLAN), ideally supplemented by HP components

Experience with routers, switches and VPN gateways

Interest or practice in Automation (e.g. Ansible), Python scripting, and API connections

Contact points with Monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix or HP IMC

Certificates like CCNA, CCNP or Fortinet FCP are welcome but not a must

Very good German (C1) and solid English skills in the technical context

Benefits

Our client offers an environment where performance is possible without being loud:

  • Structured onboarding with a personal point of contact
  • Challenging projects with substance, no ticket processing
  • Flat hierarchies, short distances, clear decisions
  • Hybrid work, flexible working hours, additional vacation days
  • Modern equipped workplaces (height adjustment, dual screen, retreat areas)
  • JobRad, lived team spirit and common sports
  • Corporate pension plan with employer contribution
  • Attractive corporate benefits

If you understand networks as critical infrastructure, want to take responsibility, and are looking for an environment that prioritizes professionalism over show, then this mandate is highly relevant for you.

WeConsulting is your exclusive point of contact in the process.
Confidentially. Bindingly. In partnership.

Recruiting is a craft.
Good placements are created through understanding, not mass.

We look forward to contacting you:
