Network Support Analyst/Engineer, Network Design

Reporting to the Principal Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for acting as a professional in civil telecommunications infrastructure. Specifically, they will work on aerial structures (guy wires, wooden/composite poles) and underground structures (anchoring, existing and new conduits). With their expertise, they will guide and support teams (internal and external) to facilitate the permit process.

• Mastery of standards, technical and operational rules for using supporting structures, as well as preparing and analyzing different reports and making recommendations;
• Assist design and support teams by providing consulting services, focusing on supporting structures, ensuring synergy, knowledge sharing, and guiding best practices between different teams;
• Taking a position and operationalizing all norms/directives/communications from structure owners, ensuring feedback to design and support teams;
• Ensure compliance with civil engineering standards;
• Represent Vidéotron vis-à-vis structure owners;
• Align civil practices between support teams and construction teams;
• Write/update documentation related to their expertise;
• Sign/seal technical documents and engineering plans for deploying the fiber network;
• Establish and improve various quality control measures for civil design, including creating indicators for performance management;
• Participate in continuously improving processes, procedures, and work tools for teams, promoting cooperation with all stakeholders while ensuring good change management.
