Network Security Specialist

The Ideal Candidate Antal International is recruiting for its client, a prestigious international company operating in the automotive industry, currently expanding its technology and cybersecurity teams in Bucharest. As a Network Security Specialist, you will play a key role in protecting and securing a complex, enterprise-scale IT infrastructure. You will collaborate with international teams to implement, maintain, and continuously improve network security solutions that support business-critical operations. Job Description Responsibilities * Design, implement, and maintain network security architectures and solutions * Administer and optimize firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access controls * Monitor network traffic and investigate security incidents * Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities * Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices * Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams on security initiatives * Participate in security audits and continuous improvement programs * Support incident response and forensic investigations when required Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field * 3+ years of experience in network security or cybersecurity roles * Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco, or similar) * Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and VPN technologies * Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, NAC, and security monitoring tools * Familiarity with cloud security concepts is considered an advantage * Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, NSE, Palo Alto, CISSP, or equivalent are a plus * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Good command of English What's Offered * Opportunity to work in a leading international automotive environment * Access to innovative technologies and large-scale projects * Professional development and certification opportunities * Competitive compensation and benefits package * International and collaborative work environment Company Description Antal is the leader in EMEA & Asia Executive Search & Selection with a network of over 120 fully-staffed offices in more than 30 countries, recruiting talent in a range of industry sectors & skill functions.
