Job description

Network Architect - CCIE - Onsite in Calgary (10 + yrs)

Description
1 Provide inputs, recommendations for network design, planning, defining strategic roadmap, defining network policies.
2 Handling of level-3, escalated tickets, critical change implementation, creation of network design documents such as HLD, LLD.
3 Implementation of Data Center Network including routing, switching, WAN optimizers, load balancers, wireless equipment.
4 Provide recommendations/inputs for network service improvement, documentations, support network audits, provide inputs during service review meetings with third party vendors, WAN service providers.
5 SPOC for Customer, Attend CAB meeting, Monitoring & review of Service levels, network availability, health and performance monitoring.

Skill Sets

Must-Have**
(Ideally should not be more than 3-5 yrs)
1) 10 plus years of experience in designing, implementation and management of large scale enterprise network with exposure to routing, switching, WAN optimizers, wireless LAN and load balancers.
2) Experience in implementation of Enterprise Data Center network with exposure to Cisco Nexus Switches, Riverbed WAN Optimization devices, F5 load balancers, wireless LAN equipment.
3) Good expertise in troubleshooting of large scale enterprise network including various types of switches, routers, WAN optimizers, load balancers & routing protocols such as BGP.
4) Experience troubleshooting of large scale wireless network
5) Good experience in Checkpoint/Palo Alto/Fortinet Firewalls
6) Provide senior level, advanced hands-on support for Checkpoint enterprise firewalls, Palo Alto, Fortigate (a must), log reporting, firewall audits and vulnerability management
7) configuring and supporting FortiNet systems, including FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer
8) Expert in all aspects of the firewall device installations, maintenance and usage of a large-scale local and wide area network
9) Experience with network design, including network segmentation
10) Experience analyzing network traffic; Splunk, Wireshark, etc.
11) Switching Concepts VLANS, STP, RSTP, VTP, HSRP, VSS, Trunk Encapsulation, MAC Filtering, Ether-channel, port-security.
12) Routing Concepts Static Routing RIP, EIGRP, BGP, Class full and Classless Routing.
13) Expert level knowledge in Networking fundamentals and concept of Switching, Routing, IP Addressing, LAN and WAN protocols, Routing Protocols, VLAN, VPNs, Network Security.
14) Working knowledge on multicast routing.
15) Security Concepts NAT/PAT, ACL /Firewall Policies, VPN.
16) Vendor Management skills.
17) Troubleshooting and Network Management Utilities SNMP, ICMP, SSH, Telnet, Traceroute, wireshark etc.
18) Nice to Have: Azure and Cloud experience
19) CCNP/CCIE certification strongly desired
20) PCNSE or equivalent level certifications strongly desired
21) Check Point CCSE certification (preferred)
22) Fortinet NSE4 certification (preferred)
23) Expertise in network tools such as Whats Up Gold, Solarwind, Cisco ACS
24) Strong Inter-personal skills & Analytical Skills
