Network Engineer

Location - Canberra Australian Citizens with TSVP Clearance Length of Contract: 12 months The role closes on 21st January 2026 Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure in alignment with organizational strategy and industry best practices. Administer network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network management systems. Monitor network performance, capacity, and reliability; proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal network operations. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement network architecture and design. Develop and maintain technical documentation for network infrastructure and services. Provide expert-level support and training to end-users on network-related topics. Key Requirements: Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP. Experience with network management systems, such as CiscoWorks or SolarWinds. Familiarity with virtualization platforms, such as VMware or Hyper-V. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) desirable.
