NetSuite Finance Administrator (m/w/d)

Your Tasks
About the Role
As NetSuite Administrator, you are the central point of contact for our ERP system and are responsible for the further development and stable operation of our NetSuite environment. You work closely with Finance and Accounting to translate technical requirements into scalable system solutions.
Detailed focus lies on administration within NetSuite as well as maintenance of financial modules – integrations with third-party systems will be handled by a separate team.
Your Area as NetSuite Administrator (m/w/d):
Financial Modules & System Administration
- You are responsible for configuring and maintaining the Chart of Accounts, including account hierarchies and intercompany structures.
- You administer subsidiaries, classes, departments, and other dimensions for reporting purposes.
- You maintain main book settings, including booking periods, closing processes, and lock logic.
- You manage modules such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Revenue Recognition.
- You configure tax logics (e.g. SuiteTax, OSS, Intrastat) and ensure compliance.
- You maintain multi-currency setups and consolidations in OneWorld.
- You support active monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- You work closely with Accounting on forms, booking logic, and approval processes.
Reporting & Analytics
- You create and optimize Saved Searches, Reports, and SuiteAnalytics Workbooks.
- You develop dashboards and KPI Reports for various stakeholders.
- You analyze deviations (e.g. budget vs. actual) and support FP&A.
- You ensure data quality and consistency of financial reports.
Technical Administration
- You manage users, roles, and permissions according to the least-privilege principle.
- You create and maintain custom fields, records, forms, and segments.
- You develop and optimize workflows (SuiteFlow) for automations and processes.
- You maintain installed SuiteApps, including updates and configuration.
- You coordinate releases, tests, and system updates.
- You manage document templates (e.g. PDFs for invoices and orders).
Governance, Audit & Support
- You ensure internal controls and compliance requirements.
- You conduct regular user and role reviews.
- You document system changes and processes transparently.
- You are the point of contact for 2nd/3rd-level support.
- You prioritize and resolve tickets within defined SLAs.
- You create training materials and conduct training sessions for departments.
- You take on requirements and implement them independently in the system.
Your Profile
Your Strengths We Need in Our Team:
- Multiple years of experience as a NetSuite Administrator (ideally in OneWorld environments).
- Very good knowledge of financial modules (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, revenue recognition).
- Experience with Saved Searches, Reports, Workflows, and SuiteAnalytics.
- Understanding of accounting processes and closings.
- Experience with role and permission concepts as well as SoD requirements.
- Structured and solution-oriented working style.
- Communication skills in exchange with departments and IT.
Nice to Have:
- NetSuite certifications (Administrator, SuiteFoundation, etc.).
- Experience with NSPB/Planning Tools.
- Knowledge of Advanced PDF/FreeMarker.
- Background in Finance, Controlling, or Accounting.
- Experience in scalable or transaction-intensive companies.
